Low Power Current Mirror Circuit Using CMOS: Design and Optimization
The primary objective of this project thesis is to design, analyze, and optimize a low-power current mirror circuit using CMOS technology. By leveraging the unique characteristics of CMOS, such as its ability to operate at low supply voltages and exploit process variations, it implements a current mirror circuit that offers improved performance in terms of power efficiency, linearity, and accuracy.
This thesis delves into the theoretical foundation of current mirrors, exploring different architectures, operating principles, and key parameters that influence their performance. A comprehensive review of existing low-power current mirror designs will be conducted, identifying their limitations and areas for improvement. Based on this analysis, a novel current mirror topology is proposed, highlighting its advantages over existing solutions.
